Our electrical room is located in the parking structure of a neighboring Condominium Corporation, and includes electrical, cable and telephone equipment.
Please note that most utility hookups do not require access to the electrical room.
The board has a key and permission from the neighboring Condominium to access this electrical room at need, although the board cannot release the key to an owner, or utility company, or contractor.
If you need access to the electrical room, it can be arranged with a board member with at least 72 hours notice.
Please note that even with 72 hours notice we may not be able to accommodate your request.
The Condominium Property Act allows the board to access your unit;
in the case of an emergency,
upon giving 24 hours notice, for the purpose of inspecting or maintaining the common property, or
ensure compliance with the Bylaws, Rules & Regulations.
If the board does not have a key, and is required to access your unit, and you are unavailable to provide access, the board will contact a locksmith, and the cost will be charged to the Unit Owner.
The board has a formal key policy that states;
all keys in the boards possession are to be kept in a secure location, and
only authorized board members have access to the keys.
